It’s Dry July, so a few of us (and when I say “us”, I mean you, not me), are giving our liver a tiny rest and easing up on alcohol for the month of July. But you’re not alone Dry July-ers, your kindred spirits include mums-to-be, tee-totallers, and designated drivers, all of whom are seeking the holy grail of non-alcoholic drinks: something with flavour, something not full of sugar, and something that looks pretty.
I mean who ever looked forward to arriving at a party with a sexy 1.25 litre bottle of Diet Coke? No-one, that’s who. So we’ve come up with 5 swoonworthy non-alcoholic drinks. Beautiful beverages where the packaging alone will have you clambering to find a stockist.
You need a gift for the bride to be? Maybe you've been invited to her bridal shower, or perhaps you're a bridesmaid, or maybe you and your workmates want to get together and buy a special gift for a colleague to celebrate her upcoming wedding. These are all good reasons to buy the bride a gift, and up until now, these are all good reasons to panic!
So if you're stuck for ideas on what to give the bride to be, worry no more because we've come up with a list of 10 of the best bride-to-be gift ideas (even if we do say so ourselves). Some are cute, some are fun, many are practical but all of them are thoughtful and stylish (of course).
So let's get cracking!
Sometimes you need to make life a bit easier. You need short cuts to save time and money particularly if you're planning and paying for a wedding. If you've got a budget (that you've secretly already blown) then you might be on the look out for a few creative tips for wedding ideas that will help save a few dollars, but without compromising on style.
So, if you love the idea of gorgeous "be my bridesmaid?" biscuits or perhaps personalised wedding favour biscuits to thank your guests, but don't want to pay $5 a biscuit, then read on because this guide will show you how to make personalised cookies for under 50 cents each! Yep! And the best part of all is that there is no baking required - just do-it-yourself, inexpensive biscuits that are also perfect for wedding favours, baby showers and hen's nights. So what are you waiting for?
If you're anything like me you haven't been on the look out for a Father's Day Gift Guide quite yet. In fact, if you're anything like me (until recently that is), a proper gift for my dad is in the too hard basket and so I hold off on looking until a mad panic on the Friday, or even Saturday before, or if I'm being entirely honest, even the Sunday of Father's Day...(eek!)
Well, it's not really good enough is it? I mean how hard is it to show this man a little love and gratefulness? Okay, okay, I hear ya, he's not that easy to buy for. Well, um, that's kind of what we do here at Bundle + Twine. We search for great gift ideas, we wrap them perfectly, we write the card and we deliver it. Yeah, your the one who pays for it, but are we supposed to do everything?
So, no excuses, no stopping at Mr Murphy's on the way to Dad's house this Father's Day. Here's what we've got...
So you're getting married soon and you want to give your mates something to thank them for keeping their mouths shut years of loyalty and friendship. Your partner is giving their nearest and dearest something special, and you want to do the same. But where to begin?
Google 'groomsmen gift' and you'll be confronted with pewter mugs with "GROOMSMEN" engraved on the front (super useful!), bullets (yes bullets) with "GROOMSMEN" engraved into the side of them, or maybe bottle opener with, you guessed it, "GROOMSMEN" engraved into it.
Enough already, it's got to stop! NO MORE BOGAN GROOMSMEN GIFTS!
Not wanting to state the obvious, but weddings are expensive (Sherlock!). If you're in the process of planning one, or are involved in one or worse yet, paying for one, then you're going to want to read on.
If weddings are not in your future, but a 21st, baby shower or corporate event is, that is, anywhere where it's customary, or just plain nice, to give a little something to guests to thank them for celebrating with you, then yep, you should probably read on too.
Mother’s Day is rolling around soon, Sunday May 14 to be precise. Concerned? You probably should be because if you haven’t turned your mind to it yet you’ll soon be staring down the barrel at buying a bunch of chrysanthemums from the side of the road (and who hasn’t done that!) or worse yet, some ‘servo flowers’…argh!!!
Don’t panic yet though, you’ve still got time to recover. In fact, you’ve got time to dominate!
You may well be wondering and indeed asking, what on earth is this blog about? How could there be any correlation (at all) between baby gift boxes and Fight Club? Well, in 'blog world', specifically Bundle + Twine 'blog world', they are intrinsically linked. The real world is an entirely different story (but I reckon you might already know that).
In this blog, I'm going to share some baby gift box wisdom, share some photos of gift boxes designed by our clever customers, and controversially (not really, just said that to build drama), share a pet gripe - and that's where things might get ugly!
Not sure if you've been lucky enough to experience it, but sometimes, if you stay at a swanky hotel, there's a fancy bowl of fresh fruit or a basket of goodies perched on a coffee table waiting for you when you enter your hotel room. It's terribly exciting! Sometimes the hotel might organise it for you for an anniversary or special event in which case you go for it! Other times sadly, it is trickery and deception, and just like a spring loaded mini bar, one way or another you know you're gonna pay for it! But let's just stick with the positives shall we?
Valentine's Day ♥ It's not that bad, no really, it can be ok. So what if you don't get a gift from your partner, that my friends is future leverage. It's also ripe fodder for water cooler conversations at work or dinner party anecdotes at your partner's expense (does anybody even have 'dinner parties' anymore?).
If this should happen to you, do as I do when I'm catastrophising and ask yourself, "What's the worst thing that can happen?". Well, here are 3 things that make not getting a gift for Valentine's Day sound like a dream come true:
